Beach weddings should start around one hour before sunset. Most beach wedding services are from 10 to 20 minuets long. This then gives you 40 to 50 mins of time for group family and bride and groom photos after the wedding before it gets dark out. Never have the wedding service at sunset or you will be standing in the dark by the time its half way over.

Try not to be late for a beach wedding. If you run late you may miss the sunset and have part of the wedding in the dark when the sun goes down, If this happens the after wedding photos will not show the beach and water very well as the sun is down and the beach and water are dark.
It can get very dark on the beach after the sun has gone down.

Three Hour base package. (Time Line for a beach wedding)
Many people try and rush things so they can fit everything into the three hours the base package includes. This is not a good plan unless your reception is going to be fast and over quick.
In three hours we can most of the time cover the bride getting ready and fun photos of the brides maids and grooms men before the wedding. The complete wedding service and then all the formal group photos and bride and groom photos. We can then cover part of the reception like the first dance and bride and dad and groom and mother dances and a few candid photos of people having fun. Three hours is not the right amount of time to cover a wedding and full reception.
The three hour base package is only a starting point so you can add on the right amount of hours you will need.

For a typical wedding here is how the Hours breakdown

Hour one

• Photos of the bride getting ready and all the brides maids
• Photos of the groom getting ready and grooms men
• Group photos of the bride and brides maids plus photos of the bride with each brides made.
• Group photos of the groom and groomsmen and single photos each with the groom
• Might have time for a few other group photos

Hour Two

• Coverage of the wedding service
• Formal family group photos first so they can then go to the reception area.
• Group photos of the bride and groom with all the brides maides and grooms men
• Lots of photos of the bride and groom many down by the water.
• Its best not to have a lot of family group photos or we can run out of sunlight as the sun goes down. We do need time for the bride and groom photos.
  Each group photo can take up to 2 min each

Hour Three

• Photos of the bride and grooms first dance if done right away.
• Photos of the father and bride dance
• Photos of the mother and son dance
• Photos of a wedding party dance if you have one.
• Some candid photos after the first dances
• Some detail photos to show the reception location and decorations.

Extra Hours

Many receptions last 4 hours and its a good plan to have us for the full 4 hours at the reception. As the night goes on the reception party can many times become a very fun event and some of the most fun photos may come from the later night fun that unfolds. Here is a small list of what to expect in the extra hours of coverage.

• Photos of people toasting the bride and groom
• The cake cutting photos
• Any fun dancing everyone many be doing
• The guarder belt and garder toss
• The bouquet toss
• Table to table photos of your guests
• Canded photos of the bride and groom ( most of the time they never even see us taking the photos)
• At the end of the reception the bride and groom leving as all the guests send them off.
